Jordan- Two people arrested for trying to sell artifacts


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 11 (Petra) -- The Northern Region Preventive Security Department personnel arrested two people found in possession of several artifacts and intend to sell them for a large sum of money.

Upon receiving a tip-off about two men, who showcased artifacts for sale, the security personnel formed a special team that set up an ambush to recover the pieces, a security source said. Security agents followed and searched the suspects' vehicle, where they found several artifacts .

The two suspects were arrested, and an investigation is going on, the source added.
