Gargash participates in Arab League's Peace Initiative Committee meeting

CAIRO, 9th December, 2017 (WAM) -- Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, participated on Saturday here in the extraordinary meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee at the level of member foreign ministers to the latest developments following the US President's decision to recognise Jerusalem as capital of the state of Israeli occupation.

The Committee, which was set up by the March 2017 Arab Summit in Jordan, is headed by Jordan and includes a number of Arab countries as members in addition to the Arab League Secretary General.

The meeting was convened a head of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League's Council of foreign ministers in Cairo today to look into the serious repercussions of the US move.
