Lebanese president voices solidarity with Palestinians
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, Dec 9 (Petra) –– Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Saturday reiterated his country's support of and solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just and sacred cause after US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli occupation and his order to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Aoun spoke over the telephone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who invited him to an extraordinary summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation that Turkey will host on Wednesday to discuss Jerusalem in the aftermath of Trump's decision.
