Kuwait- Residents escape injury

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: Fire erupted in the basement of a six-storey building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh without causing casualties or injuries. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) disclosed that firefighting teams from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Ardhiya fire stations doused the fire before it spread to adjacent structures.

The department affirmed the building was evacuated and the firefighters exerted tremendous efforts to control the fire, adding the basement is being used as a carpentry shop. Meanwhile, fire broke out in two makeshift rooms on the rooftop of a building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said firefighters were dispatched to the location upon receiving information on the fire incident. They extinguished the fire in record time. No casualties or injuries were reported.
