Alistair Burt deem Trump Jerusalem decision as 'unhelpful'
(MENAFN) Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt declared the decision made by President Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as "unhelpful" attempt for accomplishing peace in the Middle East.
The Foreign Office Minister also confirmed to MPs the UK disapproval of the decision as he emphasized it had "no plans" for the British embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel to be moved to Jerusalem.
The decision was "reckless" and had taken a "hammer blow" to the procedure of peace, British Labour Party politician Emily Thornberry stated as she stressed "he is setting it back decades."
