Jordanian abducted in Syria released and returned home- Army


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra)- A Jordanian man, abducted in Syria by an armed faction, was released and returned home after he went missing for several days, an official source at the army said Sunday.

"The Military Intelligence Directorate of the Jordan Armed Forces set Manhal Ahmad Abdullah Hamdanfree from his kidnappers, who tortured him and demanded ransom for his release", added the source.

Prior to his abduction, Hamdan lived and worked in southern Syria for a long time, running his own farming business, the source pointed out. The source also voiced utmost keenness to enforce security to protect citizens and vowed to use "strongest type force" to deter gangs whatever their goals or allegiances are.
