Army kills 3 PKK operatives SE Turkey
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- Three operatives from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed by the Turkish military during operations southeastern the country, said an army statement Friday.
According to the statement, the troops targeted PKK locations in Diyarbakir. The operation resulted in the killing of the operatives and the confiscation of weapons, ammunition and transmission devices.
Since July of 2015, the Turkish military has been carrying out operations against the PKK in northern Iraq and areas near the borders with Iran. (end) ta.hb
