Tourist visas to be issued by Saudi Arabia to foreigners next year

(MENAFN) Tourist visas will be issued to foreigners by Saudi Arabia next year as the government aims to find a new source of revenue in order to diversify its economy, according to senior Saudi official.

Foreigners traveling to Saudi Arabia are largely restricted to resident workers and their dependents, business travelers, as well as Muslim pilgrims who are given special visas to travel to sacred attractions.

Head of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Natural Heritage Prince Sultan Bin Salman said during an interview on Wednesday, "The targets are people who want to come and literally experience this country, and really the grandness of this country".
