(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia Saturday welcomed the outcomes of the second expanded meeting of Syrian opposition groups held recently in Riyadh.
An official source at the Saudi Foreign Ministry was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying that the success of the gathering in uniting opposition groups and establishing a negotiating body would strengthen the opposition's negotiating position, and contribute to achieving the Syrian people's expectations.
He congratulated the Syrian opposition body and its members on the successful meeting in Riyadh.
Syrian opposition groups met in Riyadh on November 22-24 and greed to form a united inclusive opposition delegation for UN-led intra-Syrian talks. (end) mdm.mt
