Jordan- Minister Denies Banning Evolution Theory in Private Schools

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Minister of Education, Dr Omar Razzaz, via Twitter, denied issuing a ban on teaching evolutionary theory in private schools, contrary to circulating news on social media. Razzaz explained that the ban was not issued by the specialised authorities on the matter, i.e. the Ministry of Education, or any of its sub-committees.
The Ministry and the respective administration, who issued the ban, will discuss the matter in their next meeting, and it will be decided then, Minister Razzaz stated.
