Bahrain deplores Egypt's mosque attack


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Bahrain Friday strongly condemned a bomb attack on a mosque in North Sinai in Egypt that resulted in scores of deaths and injuries.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Bahrain stands by Egypt in its ongoing war on terrorism and extremist organizations, and supports all its efforts to maintain security and stability.

The ministry reiterated Bahrain's solid position based on rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, and stopping the financing of terrorism.

It also offered sincere condolences to Egypt's leadership and people, and to the families of the victims.

Egyptian official sources said the death toll of the bomb attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai was up to 155, and at least 120 others were wounded. (end) hmd.mt
