Oman- OSC launches programme for costal women


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Shipping Company (OSC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Omani Women's Association Seeb to carry out 'Sana'a' programme for the development of coastal women in the sultanate.

The programme includes training sessions for a number of members of the association in the field of producing fish pickles such as squid pickling where the courses are supervised by trained trainers in the field of food production.

The MoU was signed by Tarik al Junaidi, CEO, and Wafaa al Amri, president of the Omani Women's Association in Seeb.

Khalid al Mahruqi, assistant director of Corporate Affairs, said, 'Sana'a is a community initiative designed by OSC and is designated to upgrade coastal women in the sultanate and provide them with the necessary skills and tools for the maximum benefit of the abundant fish resources as well as for enhancing added value to this resources.'
