Egyptian Pres. rejects foreign interference in Lebanon
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Presidents Abdelfatah Al-Sisi reaffirmed support for the stability of Lebanon and rejected foreign interference in Lebanon's internal affairs.
Al-Sisi made the remarks during a meeting Tuesday with Saad Al-Hariri, the Lebanese Prime Minister who announced resignation on November 4, attended by Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, presidency spokesman Bassam Radhi said in a statement to the press.
Al-Sisi urged the Lebanese parties to unite and place the country's supreme interest on top of everything else.
Radhi said Al-Hariri briefed the Egyptian President on the latest domestic developments in Lebanon.
He thanked Egypt for its firm support for Lebanon's security and stability.
Al-Hariri paid a short visit to Egypt coming from Paris, and was expected to return to Beirut tonight. (pickup previous) esm.bs
