Iranian aggression is unacceptable, say Arab states

(MENAFN)Iranian aggression was rejected by Arab states in the region, and Saudi Arabia said it will do whatever it takes to defend its national security.

"We are obliged today to take a serious and honest stand... to counter these belligerent policies so that we can protect our security." Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir stated in an emergency meeting of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo.

The ministers affirmed their full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and that they will stand next to it to defend its security and counter Iranian threats.

They also warned Iran to stop threatening their national securities and end its support for Hezbollah and Houthi militias.

They have also called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss Iranian violence and intervention.
