GES students receive Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Qatar

Cambridge Assessment International Education has announced this year's winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Qatar, and three students from Gulf English School (GES) Qatar have been honoured for their exceptional academic performance in the 2017 Cambridge Examination cycle.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards recognise the exceptional performance of learners around the world. The awards reflect the talent and hard work of learners, and acknowledge the dedication and commitment of both teachers and parents.

Three GES Qatar pupils received ‘Top in the Country' awards. Securing the highest grade in General Studies AS-level is Sophia Yasser Metwally Behiry while Jassim Khalid Sharida Al Mutlaq topped in Arabic and Nuha Omar Mohammed Fituri scored the highest in English AS-level.

Expressing happiness over the achievement of the students, David Frame, Head of Secondary at GES said, 'I congratulate each of these students for truly excelling in their studies. Each of these outstanding students embodies the core value of excellence. We are proud of what these students have accomplished so far and we know they have many more achievements ahead of them.

For his part Ahmad Assaf, Senior Manager, UAE, Qatar and Oman said, 'At Cambridge Assessment International Education learners are at the heart of everything we do. Our programmes and qualifications help learners reach their potential and instil a lifelong love of learning and passion for discovery. We are delighted to congratulate learners from Qatar on their academic achievements in the June 2017 Cambridge examination series.
