Russian, Turkish, Iranian FMs discuss Syrian conflict


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MOSCOW, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Foreign Ministers of Russia, Turkey and Iran met in southern Turkey on Sunday and discussed all issues related to the Syrian crisis, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The foreign ministers, meeting in Turkish city of Antalya, discussed political development related to the military situation against terrorist groups on the ground, the ministry added.

Russian, Turkish and Iranian top diplomats, Sergei Lavrov, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Mohammad Javad Zarif respectively, took note of the decline in violence level which would pave way for political settlement.

They also discussed preparations for a conference for Syrian national dialogue conference in the Russian resort of Sochi, it said.

The conference, it added, aimed at rebuilding confidence among the Syrians on the basis of UN resolution 2254. (end) as.bs
