Jordan- Minister of Public Works meets technical Saudi delegation

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 19 ( Petra)-Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halsa on Sunday held consultative talks with a visiting technical delegation from the Saudi Development Fund, (SDF), headed by Abdullah Khweiter.

Deliberations touched on appropriate means to ensure quality implementation of diverse enterprises carried out by the SDF, particularly in the fields of health, education, industrial cities, and transportation.

As for the vital desert road, Halsa said a relevant agreement was signed with the executive contractors and on-field works have set out last Sep.

He urged the Saudi-Jordanian contracting companies working on this development megaproject to adhere to internationally applicable standards of quality.

The four industrial cities, funded by the SDF, are currently being built in the governorates of Tafila'h, Madaba', Balqa', and Jerash, he pointed out.

Joint discussions also reviewed accomplishment ratio in an array of Saudi-financed transportation, health, schools construction and infrastructure ventures in the Kingdom. AG
