Saudi- Jordanian Narcotics Smuggler Executed in Tabuk

Tabuk, Safar 26, 1439, November 15, 2017, SPA -- The Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued today that Darwish Khalil Ahmed Darwish, a Jordanian national, was executed in Tabuk Region today for smuggling a large quantity of amphetamine pills into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry said that the Religious Court convicted the smuggler; the sentence was endorsed by Appeal and Supreme Courts, and a royal order was issued to execute the sentence.
The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen on combating narcotics due to their great harm to individuals and the society, warning anyone who tries to commit such actions to be punished according to Sharia.
