Turkish opposition offers to lower 10% limit in parliamentary elections
Leader of Turkey's opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli has proposed lowering the 10-percent limit in the parliamentary elections.
During the TRT TV channel's live broadcast, he noted that the 10-percent limit in the parliamentary elections does not meet the current political standards of democratic Turkey.
Under the laws of Turkey, parties that obtain less than 10 percent in voting cannot be represented in the country's parliament.
Turkey will hold parliamentary, presidential and municipal elections in 2019.
