UAE leaders praised Tunisia, Morocco after World Cup qualification

(MENAFN) UAE leaders hail the efforts of Tunisia and Morocco as the North African nations entered history on Saturday as they qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The countries will be joining Nigeria, Egypt and Senegal as the continent's five representatives at next year's tournament in Russia.

Morocco sealed its place by winning in Ivory Coast 2-0 in what was a straight shootout for the place from Group C.

Tunisia secured the draw it needed, 0-0 at home against Libya, to qualify from Group A and edge out Congo.

This marks the first time ever to witness the presence of four representatives of Arab nations in the World Cup Finals with Egypt and Saudi Arabia which have qualified earlier this month.
