UAE- Emirati rescued from SUV in horrific Ajman crash


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Ajman Civil Defence have rescued a 20-year-old Emirati man involved in a horrific collision late Thursday night.

According a statement issued by the Civil Defence, the man was trapped inside his vehicle after it got jammed following a collision with a heavy truck on Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road.

The Civil defense said that the car's door was jammed due to the strong impact of the accident which caused the man to sustain minor injuries.

Lt. Salih Salim Al Suwaidi, the Duty officer, said that they received a call at about1:00 amabout the accident. The rescue unit team rushed to the site where they found the man inside the car with the door jammed up. The team was unable to open the door without the aid of tools.

The rescue unit and ambulance arrived at the site of the accident within five minutes. The team managed to open the door by using necessary tools and equipment and rescued the man who was rushed to Khalifa Hospital for treatment.

He added that after the rescue operation, the rescue team handed the site over to traffic police to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident.
