Lecture on Japan after Second World War on Nov 13


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Embassy of Japan, in cooperation with the Japan Foundation and the Sultan Qaboos University, will hold a lecture on November 13. It will be held at the Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.

Titled, 'Rebuilding a homeland - Japan after the Second World War' the lecture will be delivered by Dr Isam Hamza, dean, Faculty of Foreign Language and Translation, Misr University for Science and Technology, stated a press release.

Dr Hamza is a renowned Egyptian professor in Japanese studies, especially in modern Japanese thoughts. The lecture will include Japan's recovery after the Second World War when it suffered due to the two nuclear bomb explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki that caused extensive destruction of infrastructure and public facilities.

The lecture will summarise the reasons for Japan's economic, social and cultural re-creation, and the factors that enabled Japan to surpass this period of time, in addition to the rapid transition within a short period to make the Japanese economy one of the strongest ones in the world. The lecture will be held from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. Entry to the lecture is free.
