Kuwait- Kidnap bid on Egyptian girl foiled
(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: A man who tried to kidnap an Egyptian girl abandoned his vehicle and took to his heels when the girl shouted for help, reports Al- Anba daily. The 50-year old father of the girl lodged a complaint with officers at Jabriya Police Station saying an unknown person who tried to kidnap his daughter abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene when the girl cried out for help. He provided the number plate of the suspect's car to the police.
On a surprising note, the suspect (a Yemeni born in 1976) freely went to the police station to retrieve his car and the police detained him. The prosecutor has since ordered a case to be registered against him.
