Arab parliament backs Saudi Arabia's security measures
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Nov 5 (KUNA) -- President of the Arab Parliament Meshaal bin Fahad Al-Salmi Sunday voiced solidarity with Saudi Arabia, and fully supports its measures to maintain its security and stability.
The Arab Parliament's reaction came in a statement following a ballistic missile attack by Yemen's Houthi militia on the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Al-Salmi condemned the attack as a clear-cut defiance and violation of UN resolutions and a threat to Saudi, regional and international security.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition supporting Yemen's legitimacy announced Saturday that Saudi air defenses had intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen towards Riyadh.
The missile was destroyed over the capital and fragments landed on an unpopulated area east of King Khaled International Airport. (end) mfm.rg.mt
