Afghanistan- 14 Taliban killed and injured in Paktia drone strike
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) GARDEZ (Pajhwok): A drone strike killed seven insurgents and wounded as many in Sayed Karam district of southeastern Paktia province, an official said Sunday.
Abdullah Hasrat, the governor's spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News the drone strike took place in Kohseen area on Saturday night.
The dead included Taliban military commission head and an important commander named Farooq aka Ibrahim.
Recently, Afghan forces have increased operations against militants. At least 13 militants had been killed during different operations in Zurmat, Ahmadabad, and Zazi Aryub districts of Paktia.
The Taliban have so far said nothing in this regard.
