Bahraini King denounces targeting Riyadh with missile

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Nov 4 (KUNA) -- Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Saturday strongly denounced the launching of a ballistic missile from Yemen towards northeast Riyadh city.

The missile, intercepted by the Royal Saudi Air Defense, left neither human nor material damage, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

This barbaric aggression on the security of safety of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contravenes all faiths and international conventions, King Hamad said in a cable to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

King Hamad reaffirmed Bahrain's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its full support to the measures the brotherly leaders of Saudi Arabia may adopt to protect their country and people, BNA reported, citing readout of the cable. (end) hmd.gb
