Jordan- Civil Aviation to conduct mock drill in Aqaba tomorrow


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Aqaba, Oct. 30 (Petra)--Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (JCARC) will conduct in the Jordanian territorial waters in the Gulf of Aqaba on Tuesday, a research and rescue mock drill with the participation of the Royal Jordanian and Aqaba Airports Company ( King Hussein International Airport (KHIA) dubbed "Aqaba 2017", according to JCARC Chief Commissioner Haitham Misto.

Misto said exercise comes within the commission's efforts to improve performance of civil aviation and research and rescue cadres, adding that the mock drill includes a plane crash rescue operation in the Gulf of Aqaba.

The drill, he added comes in response to requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the Civil Aviation Law and instructions of the JCARC.
