Qatari executive accused of bribery

(MENAFN)Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, a Qatari soccer and television executive, has been accused of bribing a FIFA official in a World Cup broadcasting rights deal, and is questioned by Swiss investigators.

Al-Khelaifi though denies the charges he is being accused of, and is now meeting with Switzerland's federal prosecutors after two weeks of criminal proceedings that were filed against him.

The interview was probable to last several hours because of the translation needed and "lots of questions" Al-Khelaifi had to answer, said Andre Marty, the spokesman for the Swiss attorney general"s office.

"The world of football needs to be patient for the results of this first interrogation." Marty said while he was outside the federal building.
