UAE offers Happiness agenda to Andhra Chief Minister


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing, met N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, India, and presented the UAE's Happiness and Positivity Agenda.

"The UAE-India relations are a model of constructive international cooperation based on mutual respect," Al Roumi stated, noting the significant and positive surge the relationship has witnessed over the past few decades.

Al Roumi went on to discuss the policies and evaluation instruments being developed, as well as upcoming initiatives to spread happiness and positivity and establish them as key differentiators of the Emirati society. She also presented the National Happiness and Positivity Programme - initiatives and projects in collaboration with government and private-sector entities.

For his part, Naidu applauded the UAE's success in all areas of the government, most notably in embracing happiness and positivity as a work ethic. The chief minister reaffirmed the importance of exchanging knowledge, expertise, success stories and best practices with international partners.

An Emirati success story

As part of the official visit, Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi led the visiting delegation on a tour of the 'Services 1' centre - the revolutionary and unprecedented government services centre, which brings together 14 different government entities and offers a prototype of the government service centre of the future. 'Services 1' streamlines transactions, facilitates access to services and reduces the number of visits and invoices required to just one.
