Qatar- Two workshops held at economic forum in Jakarta

Two workshops were held on the sidelines of the Qatari-Indonesian Economic Forum yesterday in Jakarta.
The first workshop focused on opportunities for joint ventures and investment and challenges, while the second one tackled the transport sector and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in terms of project delivery, challenges and opportunities for Indonesian-Qatari cooperation and the development of Qatar's energy sector.
The forum was attended by more than 400 businessmen, investors, government officials from both countries as well as chairpersons of companies, economic authorities and experts to explore investment opportunities in various sectors in Qatar, especially the trade, agriculture, tourism, energy and other economic sectors.
The forum witnessed bilateral meetings between businessmen from the two sides who reviewed the investment opportunities available in Qatar and Indonesia and discussed ways to build a long-term economic cooperation mechanisms between Qatari and Indonesian companies, while taking advantage of the successes of Indonesia's economic experiment.
The forum is one of the most important initiatives, which aim to highlight the advantages of the Qatari economy and the business environment so as to help in attracting foreign direct investment.
