More than 30 dead over Somali explosions


(MENAFN) Police said that a huge bombing attack in an active area in the capital of Somalia -Mogadishu- has left more than 30 people dead.

With a lot more injured when a lorry filled with explosives blew up close to a hotel entrance, and another bomb attack killed two more in the Madina side of the city.

It is still unknown who planned the attacks, as Mogadishu is a usual target for the al-Qaeda linked al-Shabab group, which is fighting with the government.

A Somali reporter said that the Safari Hotel has been destroyed, believing that people were still trapped under the ruins.
