Kurd independence organizers wanted by court order
(MENAFN) An arrest order was issued to apprehend the chairwoman and two other members of the commission that organized last month's vote for Kurdish independence, according to a judicial official.
The east Baghdad court ordered the arrest due to a request from the National Security Council headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
Supreme Judicial Council spokesperson Abdel Sattar Bayraqdar said authorities are seeking justice towards those who organized the illegal vote for Kurdish independence.
