Egypt welcomes US decision on lifting economic sanctions on Sudan
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Oct 7 (KUNA) -- Egypt welcomed on Saturday the US decision of lifting economic sanctions on Sudan, imposed since 1997, asserting on the importance of such decision in stabilizing and developing Sudan.
A statement by the foreign ministry noted that the decision also supports Egypt stand and constant calls for lifting the sanctions through contacting efforts with the US side, in solidarity with Sudan. (end) rg.mb
