Oman- Crowne Plaza Muscat to close for three months next year
The company in its disclosure on Muscat Securities Market said that the Board of Directors of Gulf Hotels met on Tuesday and approved the preliminary design plan for hotel renovation covering the Port Cochere, lobby, entrance and reception area, main all day dining restaurant, swimming pool etc to be carried out in the year 2018, subject to necessary approvals.
It further stated that the board has also 'approved the closure of the hotel for a period of three months between May 2018 and August 2018 to facilitate main construction activity relating to the renovation, subject to necessary approvals'.'In view of the proposed closure of the hotel, the total revenue and the profitability of the company would be impacted in the year 2018.
'However the hotel would benefit from the renovation in the long term,' the company stated.
