(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Firefighters at the civil defence department in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah have managed to rescue an Asian resident trapped in a huge fire that broke out in her house

The competent firefighters put out the fire before it spread to the other houses located at the Muairidh market in the Ras Al Khaimah city.

Investigations showed that the fire broke out in a traditional house that is divided into two parts; the first is resided in by an Asian family while the other is used as a labour accommodation.

The RAK firefighters dashed into the burning house, and rescued a woman trapped inside, he added.

The Asian woman was rescued safely with no injuries, while the flames were extinguished with water alone.

The fire file has been referred to the bodies concerned with undertaking the legal procedures due.
