Jordan- Big Time Energy Thief Detained by Order of the Court

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Zarqa Attorney General's Office issued a retrieve and detail order today, Wednesday, for the defendant in yesterday's notorious power theft case, wherein JOD300 thousand worth of unlicensed power facilities were discovered, linking his farm and forage factory to the distribution grid.

The defendant was transferred to the Juwaida detention facility by order of the GA's office today, pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.

According to a police source, the defendant was bailed out Tuesday evening, and was scheduled to stand before the governor of Zarqa earlier today.

Notably, the estimated value of the theft does not include the costs of the power itself.
