Kuwait- 'Pay fines, take seized cars'

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: Farwaniya Municipality's Department of Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy continued to organize field campaigns covering all areas of the governorate as part of the wide campaign launched by Kuwait Municipality titled 'With Your Cooperation, We Make It Beautiful', reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Director of the department Saud Al-Harbi explained that the campaign resulted in the lifting of 18 neglected cars, confiscation of one ton of old furniture, electronic sets and scrap and issuance of 12 citations against street vendors in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Prior to lifting the cars, warning stickers were placed on them in order to give the owners of those cars the opportunity to remove them. Al-Harbi affirmed that the lifted cars will not be released until the fines are paid.
