Qatar- Cultural Excellence Competition ends today

The fourth edition of the 'Cultural Excellence Competition will end today evening at the Imam Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, said the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The competition is being organised by the Call and Guidance Department under which the Holy Quran Section falls in the Ministry. A total of 181 students from Holy Quran Learning Centers are participating in the competition, said a statement.
The programme will include the reception of students after the Asr prayer until 4:30 pm, and a lecture will be delivered by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Naama, Imam and Preacher of Imam Mosque on 'The Importance of Seeking Knowledge.
A total of 456 students from 66 Holy Quran Learning Centers participated in the first phase of the cultural excellence contest out of them 181 students from 55 centers qualified for the final round and obtained high grades between excellent and very good.
The competition aims at developing the culture of the students of the Holy Quran learning centers, and educating them about the life of the Prophet (PBUH).
The competition is one of the most important activities of the Holy Quran learning centers. It has contributed effectively in raising scientific awareness of the correct prophetic biography and knowledge about Holy Quran, as well as increasing the communication between the centers in the country and families whose children participate in the competition.
