Kuwaiti woman death ruling upheld for killing her friend

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict issued by the Court of First Instance, which sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to capital punishment after she was convicted of murdering her friend in Sabah Al-Salem area due to a personal dispute between them. The incident took place in March this year.

The suspect had stabbed her friend and the friend of her husband during an argument among them in the victim's apartment. It had started with a discussion requested by the victim with the aim of resolving a dispute between them and to stop her from interfering in her affairs.

When interrogated, the suspect admitted that she went to a traditional market and bought the knife that she used in the crime before going to the meeting. When she went to the apartment, they quarreled about some issue, which prompted the suspect to use the knife to stab the victim. She accused the victim of destroying her marriage, stressing that her husband had punished her for few days because of the victim.
