17 ISIL fighters killed in Libya
(MENAFN) 17 ISIL fighters were killed on desert camp in Libya by six US air strikes which targeted and destroyed three vehicles; this marks the first attack ever in Libya by the United States since President Donald Trump took office in last January.
US Africa Command said in a statement on Sunday that strikes on Friday targeted a camp 240km southeast of Sirte, a city that was once the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant stronghold in Libya.
The statement also said that the camp was used to move fighters in and out of Libya, plot attacks and store weapons.
