Iraq executes 42 convicted terrorists


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Iraq executed on Sunday 42 members of the notorious groups, the so-called Islamic State and Al-Qaeda, after they were convicted in terrorism cases.

Justice Minister Haidar Al-Zamli, speaking at a news conference in Al-Nasiriya city, said the executions were carried out at a prison in the city.

The executed were convicted for bombing attacks, abduction and killing. (end) ah.rk
