Oman Cricket: Sohail, Akash star in Unique Elegant win

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Sohail Khan's strokeful 59 off 29 balls and Akash Kumar's impressive all-round show helped Unique Elegant register a 90-run win over HFP in a T20 G Division match of the Oman cricket league at Al Amerat.
Batting first after winning the toss, Unique Elegant piled up 206 for five. Besides Sohail, Akash (42) and Robin Verghis (28) made key contributions. Mithun bagged four wickets for 32 runs.
In reply, HFP folded up for 116 for nine in just 13.5 overs with Prasobh offering some resistance with a fighting 35. Chintan, Akash and Adnan Nalwala were among the wickets.
Brief scores: Unique Elegant 206-5 in 20 overs (Sohail 59, Akash 42; Mithun 4-32) beat HFP 116-9 in 13.5 overs (Prasobh 35; Chintan 3-15, Adnan Nalwala 2-1, Akash 2-38).
