Sweden hopes to continue coordination with Kuwait during UNSC membership


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom hoped Monday solid cooperation with Kuwait would continue, as the two countries would be non-permanent UN Security Council (UNSC) members in 2018.

This came during her meeting with Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during which the top diplomats discussed regional and international issues, as well as bilateral relations.

The meeting, held on sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings, was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for the Foreign Minister's Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's permanent representative to the UN Mansour Al-Otaibi and Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Nasser Al-Hayyen.
