Iraqi parl't speaker, Kuwait Ambassador discuss Iraq's rebuilding
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Salim Al-Jabouri has held talks Kuwait's Ambassador to Iraq Salem Al-Zamanan about rallying international support for Iraq rebuilding.
In a press statement issued Monday, the Iraqi parliament stated that the talks also tackled bilateral relations and the latest developments in Iraq.
During their meeting, Al-Jabouri underlined the need for garnering international support for the Iraqi government's plan to reconstruct areas affected by the war with the so-called Islamic State (IS) group to allow the return of the displaced people as soon as possible.
Last July, Kuwait announced readiness to host an international conference for donors for Iraq rebuilding. (end) ahh.ibi
