3,000 Jewish settlers storm Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Sept 18 (Petra) - Some 3,000 Jewish settlers on Monday stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the sWest Bank city of Hebron, under heavy protection of Israeli army and police, the Maariv newspaper reported.
According to the Maariv website, the extremists provocatively performed Talmudic rituals inside the Ibrahimi Mosque and preventing the Palestinian worshipers from entering or even approaching their Muslim's holy site under the pretext of celebrating their Jewish holidays.
Sunday evening, the extremist settlers held noisy celebrations around the Ibrahimi Mosque and raised the Israeli flag on the wall of the Muslim's holy shrine, it added.
