Arab League condemns terror attacks in Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- The terror attacks, which occurred in Nasiriyah city southern Iraq, are inhumane acts which reflected the evil intentions of the perpetrators, the Arab League issued a statement Friday.

Speaking on the issue, Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Abul Gheit said that the ongoing violence in Iraq must end so that people could realize their dreams.

The attacks, which claimed more than 50 lives and injured 87 others, should not deter Iraqis from seeking ways to end the violence, said Abul Gheit who affirmed that the League would stand in solidarity with Iraq. (end) mfm.gta
