Jordan- Heatwave Continues Until Thursday, Subsides Friday
(MENAFN- Alghad Newspaper)
AMMAN — The Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday will remain under the impact of the heat wave, which brought hot and dry conditions across the country, and pushed temperatures 6-7 degrees above their annual average. According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures are expected to hit their upper thirties during daytime in most regions, and soar to 41 degrees in Aqaba. Mercury levels will cool down at night, dropping to 22 degrees Celsius in Amman and sliding to 29 in the Gulf of Aqaba.
The heatwave is forecast to taper off Friday, with temperatures dropping to their annual average, creating normal summer conditions in the hilly areas, and relatively hot weather in other parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added.
