Kuwait- Liquor, drugs with fashionista


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: A Kuwaiti fashionista returning from Thailand was arrested by security operatives at Kuwait airport in possession of imported liquor and a piece of hashish. A security source said the contraband was found by customs officers while checking the suspect's luggage. She was referred with the items to Drug Prosecution.

Two men held: A Kuwaiti citizen and an Egyptian expatriate were arrested after police discovered that arrest orders were issued against them due to non-payment of some debts, reports Al-Anba daily. Farwaniya securitymen were on a routine patrol when they suspected a Kuwaiti citizen and checked his details to discover he is wanted by law for a debt worth KD 6,079 following an order by the General Directorate of Civil Enforcement. The patrol team also arrested a wanted Egyptian expatriate. They suspected him after they noticed his nervousness and panic upon seeing the patrol team. The latter checked his details and discovered he is wanted by law for a debt worth KD 589. Both the citizen and the Egyptian expatriate were referred to concerned authorities for necessary legal measures.
