Lebanese army dismantle Israeli spy device near Shebaa farms


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese army dismantled Saturday an Israeli spy device that was discovered near an Israeli military site in the occupied Shebaa farms, southern Lebanon.

In a press statement, the army said that the device was spotted at outskirts of the southern town of Kfar Shuba, west of Rwaiset Alam Israeli post in occupied Shebaa farms.

It described the device as infrared camera installed in a metal box and connected with two anti-personnel mines.

The army's bomb disposal units dealt with the device and defused the mines, it added. (end) wsm.ibi
