Rakesh Singh Tomar, Principal of DMIS, an ardent lover of books, in his initiative to imbibe reading habit among his staff, organised the Book Bonanza for the first time in the history of DMIS.
More than 1,500 books were brought by the staff back from India and were displayed subject wise in different slots. Teachers had the opportunity to screen through a variety of books on different subjects, authors and levels.
The Academic staff had an interactive interdepartmental resource sharing session with each other on the different books displayed for them to read through the next 10 months. This initiative on reading books was well accepted by all as it led to CPD and progress of the mind which would directly affect the students in the classroom.
The exhibition also had books on Painting/Drawing techniques, Portraits, Learn and Play musical instruments, Musicology, Motivational books, Novels, Fiction/Non-Fiction, Language books on- How to learn a new language easily, Encyclopaedias, Facts and many other books.
